Somali Community Services Coalition (SCSC) is a 501 (c)(3) tax-exempt organization that provides culturally appropriate, refugee support services, emphasizing all generations of the family in the King County area. 

 

Additionally, SCSC is a Supplemental Educational Services(SES) provider for Washington State for the 2007-08 and the 2008-09 school years.

 

Our services are provided in both Somali and English languages.

 

We offer a safe environment in which our community can come together to learn from each other, increase skills and core competencies, acquire access to information and services that are designed to increase self-sufficiency and to socialize together within a new cultural context.

 

We tailor our services and partner with several service providers including  the Tukwila School District in order to support the Somali immigrant and refugee community in the most critical areas currently identified as:

• Refugee Resettlement and Family Support
• Immigrant Interpretation Services
• Academic Achievement and Enrichment
• Elder and Aging Adult Support

 

Office Hours are Monday through Thursday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m and Friday 2:00 p.m.to 5:00 p.m.
